Done With EDSEC
Well the title says it all! Done in almost every way except for the final. I'm still going to class to try and learn more things to help in my classroom. It feels so good to just have 4 classes to worry about though.
Project Journal 3
The project is coming along nicely I believe and we're always moving forward on it with every session. The store selection is done and a poster will be coming up next. Hopefuly it'll get done today after history.

We didn't do much since last time except to finalize the proposal. Pretty boring stuff really and when we meet up on Monday we'll hopefully get a lot done.

Class was cancled?
YA! more time to sleep right? Wrong.... When I'm up I'm up and so i'll be up for awhile. Man I wish I checked my e-mail more often and hadn't gotten out of bed 5 mins before class. Thankfully someone was there to set me straight. Well off to do work, fun like always.

Project Journal 1
It has only been ten minutes since we started and we have a good idea of what we're doing. Save Darfur. What better goal then that right? A speech seems to fit for the audio and maybe a save Darfur sock hat to be pretty. The text might just be a poster, but showing what? If it's to graphic then people will be repled, but if to wordy then no one wants to read it all the way through. A fine line isn't it?

Games affecting my grades?
I fell asleep in math today. I also stayed up till 2 am last night playing Dragon Age: Orgins.... Whch is a great game unfortunately. However I barely wanted to sit down to write this, even though it's a big part of my grade and I don't wanna repeat this class. I guess we'll see what happens by the end of the year.

Busy work
I hate it and my time which I like to waste is wasted by this work so I can't just sit in front of my computer and look crap up all day. Insted I have to sit down and do work untill it's time for more class and more work assigned. That is annoying, but what's even worse is when a huge assignment is worth almost nothing. I hate busy work.

Interruptons
Today, after going to English and realizing that it was canceled, I went back to my room to, what else, sleep. I was sliping under the covers as my friend Ben called me up. Normally I'd of been happy to see him, but I was really tierd today. On top of that he was at the bottom of my hall for a class. I sucked it up and let him in. We had a lot of fun too, but it stunk to have to give up going back to sleep.

Last minute
When do we wait till the last minute to do things? Then are disappointed when they don't turn out very well? I have 7 minutes till class and have decided to try and write this. I'll make it work, but it wont be as good as it should be. So is the case in my life wherever I have work. There's always something I've frogoten and do right before class. This is one of em and now I g2g History awaits.

Game Violence
As my friend sits nearby playing Fallout 3, a very violent game, I write this. It seems to me that the people that hate games that are violent are the ones with problems. They think that game are the things that makes people violent. I find that untruthful, just like serail killers aren't born from just one event in their lives. In genral I believe that they're fools who think that everyone is that same.

More Death in Schools
Trevor Varinecz stabbed an officer at his school. He was shot in rebuttal. It seems so depressing that this is a common theam in the world we live in today. How many times have you seen on the news about someone else getting killed at a school. In this case, I guess that the good guys won, but someone lost a son. Does it really mater who won though? It's all extramly sad that kids keep killing aand getting killed. There seems to be nothing schools can seem to do to prevent this from happening. Can we stop this? I hope so.

TV in your life
Do you ever wonder how much time you spend watching TV in a week? I do because of a recent article I read on how much TV is a part of my generation's life. In fact I'm watching a movie wheil writing this. It's interesting in fact because all my parents watch is the weather and the news. It seems like I have a lot of time on my hands and I use it playin computer mostly. However computer gets boring and I'll watch TV to use my time. I watch it before bed and when I wake in the morning. When I get back from class first thing I do is turn on the TV. Does this sound like you? This is the case for most people my age and I wonder if I'll become more like my parents and just watch the weather.

Baseball Unjustace
If you caught a home run ball at a major league game wouldn't you want to keep it? I know I would
but, Jennifer Valdivia had to sue for hers. It insults the whole game of baseball when they steal the ball from a little girl and say their going to to give it back. Even if it broke a record and the club wanted to give the ball to the player. This is extremely disgraceful and I would hope that this incident is never repeated.

peer review
Is there too much detail, so the piece feels cluttered and difficult to understand? Suggest where to cut
This is the most imporent question of the whole thing because it's what makes the paper work. Without a question the paper could start to be to hard to understand and my peers would lose interest in what I'm saying. You can't make people feel stupid and expect them to read the whole paper.

Doing what you love
I myself have found something I love and I do it as offten as I can. It's not about where you live, not about what your friends are doing, and definitely not about the money. I've been drenched, sore, and with ten twelve year olds complaining behind me and loved it. Going to collage isn't a dream to get more money or have the best years of my life. It's to get the education I need to teach children and see there eyes light up ever day.

Who gets the kids?
A father in from Tennessee takes his kids from their mother. Sounds horrable right? Wait, she moved to Japan with them without asking him about it? The plot thickens. Christopher Savoie tried to take his kids back from Noriko, his ex-wife. In Japan the main parent has the rights to the kids and so the father couldn't see them often at all. Also she moved without discussing it with him. "Children have the right to see both parents. It's very important for my children to know both parents." Is how Christopher explained his actions in the CNN interview. In the US Christopher has sole possesion of the kids ,but in Japan Noriko has custody. This looks to be fun.

Some thing that was writen to me
It's ten 23
and i can't wait to be
just you and me
when we're together
things seem so much better
and it's easier to just be
when i'm in your arms
i feel safe from all harm
all nice and snuggley
but we're both at school
'cuz it's the rule
whether or not we want it to be
so we'll just hang tight
until the time is right
and we together we can be
just you and me

Ishmael Beah
What an interesting man in both his book and in the flesh. Last night, I went to see him talk about his book(mostly because it was required) and he was an impressive speaker. He was one of the best I've heard and the people that introduced him just made him look better. In a way I think he wanted us to read his book and take from it something. We should take that thing, anything, and make it as big as we can. Ideas are made real not from just having a good one ,but insted from force of will. Remember that.

Joan of Arc
Think on this every one. Joan of Arc is a saint, drectily responable for a King's coronation, and set in motion the end of the 100 years war. She did this all before she was nineteen. What have most of us done? We're mostly eighteen going on nineteen and how far along are we? However, don't feel like you have to of made a difference soon. Just do what you can for now and one day you might find yourself doing something bigger then you ever imaged.

Grandma's pies
As I walk outside
The sunlight floods my eyes
The birds are chirping
I can smell my grandma's pies
Those smell so good!
No,wait they are lies
She's no longer baking
Because everyone dies

Story Time
English class calls and I must answer with this post!
Though we had been talking for about a month, my future girlfriend and I had never gone on a date. I'm a shy guy when it comes to women, so asking Alyson to a movie took a huge amount of effort and self pep talks. On Friday the 13th I asked if she wanted to see a movie with me! She of course said yes and what followed was the oddest first dat I'd ever been on.
The next day Alyson called me saying" I have so much homework but, I'll probably be done before tomorrow."
"Cool, what movie did you wanna see?" I replied expecting some chick flick.
"I'd love to see Watchmen because all the guys at fencing say it's awesome!" she said back.
In the future we both soon realized the the guys at fencing would be a thorn in our sides forever and the sugestion of Watchmen was the start of the frivolous jokes that were coming my way. Fencing is Alyson's life and the older boys there like her brothers but, without brotherly protection instincts hence the senseless suggestion of Watchmen for her.
That night in my comfortable and spacious compuer room I found out the Sunday showing times for the movie. At the time I had no idea what this movie was going to be like. I would soon find out.

Things I'm tierd of hearing about
How many times have you heard the name Michael Jackson in the past few weeks? Or the Gosselin family? Frankly, I'm surprised that people still care about these subjects because my patience has worn thin. It's hard to care about a man who was on the path to self destrution such as Michael Jackson. Last I heard, his death was being investigated as a murder. The police are trying to blame someone else for the man's death, which was probably his own fault! If he wasn't extremely talented, then none of these investigations would be going on. Now to my real beef: John and Kate plus 8. Their marriage went south and I still have to hear about it months later? They aren't inhuman or perfect, and I don't expect them to be. I enjoyed their show and might even watch reruns of it but, their personal life is their own business. Personally, I'm tired of hearing about it.

My First Time
I my friends have never done this so it is indeed my first time. In fact, I haven't done a lot of things that I would like to try. This blog is not on the top of that list but, you have to roll with the punches and get the most out of whatever you're given. I hope everyone who reads this, if anyone does, has this same philosophy on life. Now onto what I believe blogging is.... spewing my ideas onto the internet for someone who has extra time to read it. Let's start with the greatest thing in my life. Scouting was the best thing that ever happened to be and I would suggest it to anyone under 18. My Eagle rank is good to have but, that was never my goal. I wanted to have some fun and that was about it. However as my first 2 years went by I learned what scouting is really about. It's about getting lifelong friends and learning to be a leader. It's not a destination but, a journey where at the end you happen to get eagle not because it was your goal but because you really earned it through your deeds and actions. For any scout who's reading this, if you have got your eagle and left without a backwards glance, please give back. Don't take peoples experiences then leave. Give back somewhere even if it's not scouting. There's a;ways someone to help.
